In this podcast, Pat and Sam, together with Lisa Rickert share some memories of the early days in Newman including a car rally. Pat recalls the men going out pig and duck shooting. They all recall the Fortescue Festival, especially the Fair Go festival. And Pat and Sam remember going to Coral Bay for holidays. 
Then Pat and Sam speak quite extensively about the beginnings of water polo in Newman - both  the local teams, and also how they represented Newman on a regional and State level.

In this podcast, Pat Jenkinson describes her arrival in Newman in 1972 and her first impressions of the  town. She describes the facilities that were available in town and her first job at the Newman Pool. She also recalls her house in Trotman Ave and remembers many of her neighbours.

Margaret was mainly a stay at home mum, but also did relief teaching in South Newman PS, Richard was Head of Maths at NSHS and describes his role and also the differences between NSHS and a mainstream city school.

He remembers how so many of his Newman friends are friends for life, and he still keeps up with many of them. Lisa reminds him of his skill on the high diving board at the pool, and he attributes that to his time spent on the trampoline at the YMCA, where he fondly remembers Ron Armstrong and his daughter Cathy.
