In this podcast Phil and Jenny recall people they remembered who shared their journey in Newman. Phil relates the story of his lost tooth! They discuss town Doctors and compare their wages with those who worked for the company. Phil also remembers how hard it was for students to get an apprenticeship, if they were not known within the company. They conclude by comparing Newman with other towns where they had taught.

In this podcast Jenny describes her experience as both a relief and Kindy teacher. Phil talks about the difficulty of balancing young teachers  on staff with those more experienced. They both recall their memories of the Fortescue Festival, and also their involvement in St Joseph's Catholic Parish. Trevor and Ann remember Melva and Ron Stone who lived over the back fence from them. Trevor also describes the first funeral in town, and how they had to create a cemetery in Newman. They also recall the original Capricorn Roadhouse.

In this podcast Trevor and Ann describe their community involvement. Trevor was Newman Club President and even managed the Club for a while. They were both involved in the P&C for the Primary School. Trevor was also involved in the Cricket club. Some of his more unusual jobs were to clear the dead animals from the roadside when the Manager's wife was arriving. And also to drive his car down the runway at the airport, in front of the plane to clear the roos away. He also describes how he took the picture of the glider upside down over Newman.

In this podcast Trevor and Ann discuss the major influences on Trevor's workplace. They then recall the big changes in the town between their two stays there. Trevor remembers some characters of his time there - including his neighbour Charlie Snell, Harry Brooks and Ernie Hefty - the "shit cart" man!
