In this podcast Garry Kruger, in conversation with Lisa Rickert, describes his trip to Newman in 1974 and his accommodation in the SMQ. He started in the Machine Shop as a TA and was quickly introduced to strikes. He recalls all the shops that were available in those days and who worked there. But his main place of interest was the Walkabout Pub and the Animal Bar and his memories related to the Sufferers Paradise.
